The GUAT Skirt is a fun, floaty piece designed to be twirled in! Featuring a shirred waistband panel, designed to fit around your hips/waist comfortably. It is the kind of make that you won't be able to stop wearing (trust me).

Skill Level
Suitable for confident beginners to intermediate sewists.
You should feel comfortable with:
- Sewing straight seams - zig zag or overlocker stitches are optional
- Gathering fabric,
- Shirring,
- Sewing an invisible zip,
- Creating an elastic casing,
- Basic pressing techniques,
- Don't worry if you do not know all of these - use this as your project to learn/practise them!

Lightweight woven fabrics work best, such as:

Fabric Requirements
These measurements tell you the amount of fabric you will need for each size when making the GUAT Midi/Mini skirt.
(Note these are calculated on 140cm wide fabric).
The pattern also requires elastic and a zip, which I have left requirements for below.
